Dec Bass: You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch Mondays 11 AM Pacific Time (Dec 8 & 15) 2 week course *no class Dec 1, 22 or 29

Description: We’re really excited to be teaching this song in December’s bass.The bass part is just so cool. The accompaniment will be taught in the Tuesday blues class.

Areas of Focus: Right and left hand technique Walking bass lines Scales and arpeggios.

Prerequisites: Reading tab is helpful, but can easily be learned in class. Having some understanding of major and minor intervals would also be helpful, but these concepts will be explained as well. All levels are truly welcome :)

Dec Finger-style: Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies Mondays 11 AM & 6 PM Pacific Time (Dec 5 & 12) 2 week course *no class Dec 19 or 26

Description: Lace up those ballerina slippers on your fingertips ‘cuz this one’s a musical ballet! This time we’re playing the song in G, taking advantage of the dark tones of the open G string of the uke (or, better yet, Octave uke!) Learn the sophisticated simplicity of this fingerstyle song in this fun group class with Dani Joy.

Skills acquired: Greater exploration of the ukulele fretboard (even the forbidden forest above fret 5!) Tonal qualities & techniques Strengthen Christmas repertoire

Prerequisites: Able to read TAB. Desire to explore things you don’t know yet.

Dec Blues Uke - You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch Tuesdays 11 AM & 5 PM Pacific Time The evening class is a repeat of the morning. Students are welcome to attend either or both. (Dec 6 & 13) 2 week course *No class Dec 20 or 27

Description: Ok, so it’s not a blues, but this Christmas classic is bluesy enough and plenty cool. And, you’ll learn to play it this month!

Areas of Focus: Minor blue/jazz chord theory Singing and playing Arranging for the ukulele Riff Vocabulary

Prerequisites: There are no hard requirements, but we strongly recommend basic TAB reading and basic understanding of Nashville Number System.
